Located in a highly-desirable Southern California area, The Peninsula is a mile-long stretch of land at the south-most end of Long Beach, directly across from Naples Island and between Alamitos Bay and the Pacific Ocean. There is only one way in and one way off The Peninsula. The Peninsula is considered one of the most desirable communities in Long Beach, Ca. Since all homes in this community are within a few blocks of the beach and the bay, the prime location has tons to attract potential buyers. The area offers both large waterfront homes and smaller beachfront cottages and maintains a small-community charm, and buyers are drawn to experience this mix of community and relaxation. 
 
In addition to being across Alamitos Bay from Naples, the Peninsula is adjacent to Belmont Shore with its excellent dining and shopping options. Local Lifestyle 

Locals of The Peninsula live an active and community-centered lifestyle. This small coastal neighborhood offers plenty to enjoy, including two walkways that allow you to stroll the shores and enjoy both beautiful sunrises and sunsets, with one walkway running the length of the bayside beach and another that runs along the oceanside. The Peninsula also has a small marina, a park, and a beautiful climate. 
 
This is an ideal spot for those who love to be outdoors and to be active, mainly because of its access to both the bay and ocean; it is an excellent spot for kitesurfing, paddle boarding, fishing, bird watching, and kayaking. For those boaters in the neighborhood, there is the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club, known as ABYC. Though primarily residential, there is an excellent cafe on 62nd St., Vibes Beach Cafe, that primarily caters to beachgoers and locals. Individuals here can quickly get out and embrace the unparalleled California weather! 
 

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping 

With Belmont Shore restaurants, shops, and more close by, The Peninsula offers the conveniences of a small town and big city alike, especially with the newer 2nd & PCH so close by, and all of Long Beach within easy reach boasts an impressive dining and entertainment scene. 
 
Close by, for breakfast or lunch, Schooner or Later is another top favorite; located on the water, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere relaxed. Boathouse on the Bay is located right across the way from The Peninsula and is one of the area’s most popular restaurants, with fabulous water views and both indoor and outdoor dining options.  Enjoy seafood, steaks, and sushi, as well as simpler fare like fish and chips, go for the food and stay for the view! Nico’s is another must-visit restaurant in the area. Serving hand-crafted cocktails, seafood, steaks, and hand-made pasta, Nico’s is a stylish, comfortable spot where locals can enjoy delicious meals in a sophisticated and chic setting. Local favorites are Gnocchi and pasta Bolognese. Also boasting a beautiful horseshoe-shaped bar, Nico’s is the perfect place to sit and visit with friends; you never know who you will see.
 
Michael’s on Naples is another must-try spot in the area. Its chic rooftop is well-known for its fresh, handmade pasta, hand-crafted cocktails, fabulous Italian wines, and beautiful dining setting. The menu here is packed with incredible dishes and several unique menu items to experience. Must-try plates include the Lasagna, the Pork Chop, and the locally smoked Burrata with grilled country bread and more! 
 
The Peninsula is also close to many shops on 2nd Street that locals enjoy visiting during their leisure time. Billings Paint & Hardware, for instance, is one popular destination that locals frequent, with most everything you need for home improvement and more at your fingertips, with well-loved and excellent staff. 2nd St is positioned near the water, and it boasts several popular restaurants like Roe Seafood and Nick’s on 2nd and many retail stores to complete The Peninsula lifestyle. 
 

Things to Do 

There are tons of things to do and see near The Peninsula! One popular activity spot is Anchors Away Rental, where you can rent an electric Duffy Boat or paddle board, then cruise the Naples Canals. Another popular destination for dog lovers is Rosie’s Dog Beach.  This family-friendly spot allows dogs to enjoy their day in the sun. Also, with plenty of amazing exhibits that highlight animals such as sharks, sea otters, frogs, and more, the Aquarium of the Pacific is another must-visit spot for locals. 
 
Many locals on The Peninsula also enjoy taking their fun right out on the water, with easy access to open water, right past the jetty and out through the channel. This is what the lifestyle is all about for many folks!
 

Schools

Long Beach is also home to many schools for families in the area to consider. Woodrow Wilson High School is a solid option for older students in the area, offering a rigorous curriculum and fantastic guidance toward various career paths. The school works to mold students into problem solvers, organized workers, and responsible citizens.
